Based on latest data, the population of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the number of male centenarians has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. During the identical years, the number of women aged 100 or over increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to receive stories from individuals who have reached 100, their relatives or companions, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s seismic events and developments.
